I'm going to try to keep this short. lol

Had a blast over memorial day weekend at the lake, AHiL and I lost terribly to my parents in yard sports. :\ (there's always next year!)
Came home, and mom wasn't feeling good. The next day she spent all day at the hospital which resulted in an emergency appendectomy.
We have no idea why we even have an appendix anyway- so no biggy that it's out but it was so bad it almost exploded while they were
trying to remove it. ICK!!! so we've been taking care of mom and we had dad's birthday yesterday. Bought him steak (ewww) and made
cupcakes and had balloons and all that jazz. He was a happy camper.

Got mom and Jesse and I to the mall today to shop for some clothes for work. I haven't had to have clothes for work for a couple of years
now because of working at home and such. Sooooo... I hate to shop. If it's shoes, that's one thing. Hand bags, I love. Tattoos I would shop for all day. (got that a couple weeks ago) but clothes. ICK!!! it's all hot and people have had their sweaty bodies in them before I have and it's ick.
HOWEVER- I learned a few things. My man is a pro at shopping. He knows what will look good on me before I do. He has an amazing sense of high fashion style and could dress models on a runway, I shit you not. How fun to learn this about him. Mom held up like a champ, and we got everything I needed and didn't need including THE CUTEST fuzzy hello kitty daisy duke shorts and a purse that you would drool on if only for the texture and pattern. ha ha (red.) yum.

Liv- my daughter is feeling really good, no heart issues, (I think she's a slight hypochondriac) and she is getting an award in math for being so friggin' smart. ok, I think I'm pretty awesome but I SUCK. suck at math. I'm so proud of her!! she's still a pain in the ass but she's a good girl, with good grades and we will continue to keep her all too grown up bod in the closet until she's 35. *cough*

Sorry to have not been around much but stuff happens. miss everyone! =)

love,

Rox

A few things:

1. Your husband has a flair for fashion, & he's hetero? You're sure of that? Maybe he's slightly bisexual & not telling you...

2. Christ on a pogo stick, I hope your mother is recovering okay. Appendix problems are nothing to mess with. Ruptured appendices can & have killed people...it's a good thing Dr. Sawbones got it out of her in time.

3. Re your daughter: Don't plan on keeping her under lock & key that long. Once she hits her teens & discovers boys...mmmm-hmm. You & your guy will have fun with that. I know: I remember my teen years; a good part of my waking hours were spent thinking about...well, you know what I was thinking about.

Just to keep a lid on things, I suggest your husband take up shooting (rifle, handgun, muzzleloader/caplock, whatever suits him), do it regularly, & gradually build a collection of at least 3 guns. It will serve him well when your daughter starts bringing boyfriends home to meet her folks. Then her dad can show the prospective suitor his gun collection & tell the boy how he can shatter an aspirin tablet at 100 yards... Emotion: wink.gif

4. You are one of maybe 2 women I've encountered in this life so far who does not like shopping. I'm sort of the same way: I don't enjoy shopping for clothes (it's a drag, & I don't care about fashion, I just want something that lasts), but I love bookstores. You put me in a bookstore & I'll buy something, certainly.
